This Roman bridge that is still in use in Spain (the Roman province of Hispania Ulterior Baetica) crosses the Guadalquivir River. Its total length is 247 m; the span lengths are 9.5 - 10.8 m, and it has 16 spans. The bridge was made of stone, perhaps in the 1st century B.C. [Source: Roman Bridge in Cordoba.] It may have been made of wood first, possibly for Caesar, and then remade in stone.
