General sight of the town of Venice, Venezia, Italy (45°35' NR - 12°34' E). Venice is an archipelago of 118 islands, separated by 160 channels which span more than 400 bridges. Its main artery, the Large Channel, is bordered by a hundred palate Rebirth and time baroque set up by the Venetian commercial rich person. An ambitious project and expensive (the project Braces) was selected in 2002 to seal the master keys which connect the sea to the lagoon. Nearly 80 mobile dams should be installed and operational before 2011
