Is this the Veranzanno Bridge? Looks like it. I walked across this once, after drinking at North Star Pub, those "steps" aren't steps, it's the "sidewalk" and you can see the river below you as you're walking. Actually, I remember it's metal grating.

No, those aren't steps. It's the brick masonry of the pylon. The wires converging to the center of it as well as the angle of the picture give that illusion, but they are not steps.
