That's the Blue Ridge Parkway overpass at the crest of Fancy Gap mountain on route 52 just north of the North Carolina/Virginia state line (7 miles from the state line to this overpass). It was the old main route into North Carolina on the western side before Interstate 77 was built. Very steep curvy mountain route that took the lives of many motorists, (especially inexperienced truckers). This pictur appears to have been taken during the Atuumn Leaves Festival held every year between Mount Airy, NC and Hillsville, VA. Home sweet home!

Really pretty. My wife and I have riden most of the Va side of the Parkway on two wheels. It is so so beautiful. Looking forward to riding more this fall to see the colors!!! +1 & Fav. Thanks... Check out mine on Parkway or Blue ridge Parkway!
