You wouldn't want to lean out of those windows, I heard a commentator say, when we were watching it on TV program. One of my close family members did go to see this castle, and says it is just beautiful. But the story behind it is even more interesting..., Ludwig II who was mesmerized by Richard Wagner's operas, wanted to create a fantasy castle for himself though he died (was murdered) before his throne was completed. Interestingly, Wagner, was from emigrant family who lived in the Jewish end of the town and had nothing nice to say about them, was sponsored by Ludwig. And we also know that Hitler adored Wagner's music..., or was it Wagner... all quite peculier8)8)
