The red barn on Hwy 60

The red barn on Hwy 60 - abandoned, barns, country, farms, missouri, rural

Wallpaper Description:
Driving east on state Hwy. 60 towards Springfield, MO, this barn and silo just outside of Monett, MO caught my attention every time I passed by. I was determined to get some shots of it. There was an old fieldstone house sitting on the property, but it wasn't until I worked up the nerve to pull into the driveway (to ask permission for some photos) that I realized the old place was long abandoned. How the barn managed to stay in such good shape, I have no idea. But I got some quality shots (of the barn as well as the old house), and I got the fun of exploring the old barn. Even climbed up into the hayloft. Great memories!
