Nevolous: Love the sinner, hate the sin. What people do in the name of the Cross is not what the Cross itself stands for. The Cross represents the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus for our sins.
People have since the beginning, used religion to suit their own purposes, does this mean no one should believe??

I agree that the cross is a symbol of hope to millions, but through out the course of human history people who the man on the cross as a deity have committed some of the worst atrocities that have ever been conceived. To quote Douglas Adams "The garden is beautiful enough without having to believe that there are fairies living in the bottom of it.".
