*Râşnov (dt Rosenau, Hung Barcarozsnyó) is a city in Barsa Country, in the Romanian region of Transylvania and part of Braşov.
Worth mentioning is the peasant fortress Râşnov which numerous houses, stables and a small church houses. It was built in 1215 by the Teutonic Knights and first mentioned in 1331. It is located exactly between the city of Brasov and Bran Castle. The castle was conquered only once, by Gabriel Báthory in 1600.
The 1623 to 1640 deep in the castle built 146 meters wells, construction of which were for 17 years, needed, was built by two prisoners, Turkish soldiers. For the construction of the fountain was promised deliverance to the captives. The fountain was used until 1850 and given up due to wheel failure.

Erwähnenswert ist die Bauernburg Râşnov, welche zahlreiche Häuser, Stallungen und eine kleine Kirche beherbergt. Sie wurde 1215 vom Deutschen Orden erbaut und erstmals 1331 urkundlich erwähnt. Sie liegt genau zwischen der Stadt Braşov und der Burg Bran. Die Burg wurde nur einmal eingenommen, und zwar von Gabriel Báthory um 1600.
Der zwischen 1623 und 1640 auf der Burg gebaute 146 Meter tiefe Brunnen, für dessen Bau 17 Jahre lang nötig waren, wurde von zwei Gefangenen, türkischen Soldaten, errichtet. Für den Bau des Brunnens wurde den Gefangenen die Befreiung versprochen. Der Brunnen wurde bis 1850 benutzt und wegen eines Radbruches aufgegeben.
