In the USA, we'd call this little building a 'milking barn'. The little 'lean-to' in the front would hold the full-of-milk, milk-cans, waiting on the buyers milk truck to take the full cans and trade-out clean-empty cans.
In later years, the milk companies would come out with a small tanker-type truck that had a pump and it would vaccuum the milk out of each of the farmers' cans.
Thus, it was a more modern method of doing business and easier on the truck driver.
But, as it turned out to be more work on the farmer, the farmer would raise the price on his milk.
In turn, the milk company would refuse to buy the farmers' higher priced milk, and the farmer would be forced to reduce his price or retire from milking.
This is the reason you see so many non-used milking barns all over North America........... ..........:D:D fv+1
