Glamis Castle has been the home of the Earl and Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne since 1372. It is situated in the fertile lowland valley of Strathmore near the little village Glamis in Angus, Scotland.
Legend has it that King Malcolm II was murdered here in the 11th century and Lady Janet Douglas was burned at the stake as a witch in 1540 by James V.
The castle itself was extensively restored in the 17th and 18th centuries and today it resembles a French Chateau.

Not to forget that Glamis Castle was childhood hom to the Queen Mum and birthplace of Princess Margaret.
